You may be able to cancel No Deposit and receive a refund if you act within the applicable cancellation period and the tenancy has not started. The exact right depends on when and how you bought the service and the terms accepted at checkout.
What should I do if the tenancy will not start?
- Tell the letting agent immediately and ask the agent to cancel the tenancy plan.
- Contact flatfair promptly using the email address linked to your account.
- State the property address, payment date and reason the tenancy is not proceeding.
- Keep written confirmation from the agent that you will not take possession.
When might a cancellation refund apply?
Current No Deposit terms may provide a 14-day cancellation right for an eligible online purchase where the tenancy has not started and you have not taken possession. Your checkout information and the terms you accepted give the exact conditions.
Can I cancel after the tenancy starts?
You cannot remove No Deposit from an active tenancy on your request alone. The agent or landlord may need to agree, and a replacement cash deposit or another accepted arrangement may be required before the plan can end. A refund of the joining fee is not normally due after the service has started, unless the terms or law require one.
What if the plan or payment was duplicated?
Contact flatfair before making another payment. Provide both confirmation references and explain which plan is correct. Do not request a chargeback while a refund investigation is in progress unless your payment provider advises you to do so.
When will I receive the outcome?
flatfair may need confirmation from the agent and may need to check the plan status and payment. You will receive a written decision. Do not assume that cancelling the tenancy automatically cancels the No Deposit service.
