Your letting agent must create the No Deposit plan before you can sign up.
flatfair then sends each named tenant an invitation to review the tenancy details, accept the terms and pay the amount shown.
How to complete No Deposit signup
- Open the latest invitation sent to the email address your agent provided.
- Check your legal name, property address, monthly rent, tenancy information and the other named tenants.
- Read the No Deposit explanation, fee, cancellation information and terms.
- Complete any identity, account or confirmation steps shown.
- Pay your personal fee using one of the payment methods offered in the secure checkout.
- Sign in and check whether the plan is active or whether another action remains outstanding.
Should I pay if the tenancy details are wrong?
No. Stop before accepting the terms or paying and ask your letting agent to correct the plan.
In particular, check:
- the legal names of all tenants;
- the full property address;
- the rent and rent-payment frequency;
- the tenancy start information;
- the number of named tenants; and
- your personal fee.
Do not create another account or make a second payment to work around incorrect details.
How can I check that an invitation is genuine?
Only use the latest invitation sent for the tenancy you recognise.
Before entering payment information:
- confirm with your letting agent that they created the No Deposit plan;
- check that the property, rent and tenant details are correct;
- do not use an unexpected link for a property you do not recognise; and
- contact your letting agent or flatfair if anything appears unusual.
Your invitation is personal to you. Do not forward it or allow another person to sign in as you.
Can one tenant pay for everybody?
The signup journey may provide a “pay for all” option that allows one tenant to pay the full household fee.
Use this option rather than sharing another tenant’s personal invitation. Every named tenant must still complete their own registration or confirmation steps.
Paying the whole fee does not change how rent or other responsibilities are allocated under the tenancy agreement.
Does my payment make the plan active?
Not always.
Other tenants may still need to complete registration, and the letting agent or flatfair may need to finish plan checks. Treat the plan as active only when its status confirms activation or flatfair confirms it in writing.
A payment receipt confirms the transaction. It does not necessarily confirm that the complete household plan is active.
What if I cannot open the invitation?
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Use the most recent invitation.
- Sign in using the email address that received the invitation.
- Ask your letting agent to confirm that they entered your email address correctly.
- Do not ask another person to register through an invitation addressed to you.
If the problem continues, contact flatfair with your name, property address, account email and a description of the error.
What if my payment fails or remains pending?
Do not repeatedly submit the payment if money appears to have left your account.
Check your flatfair account and payment confirmation first. Your bank may show a temporary pending authorisation even though the payment has not completed.
If you have received no confirmation or the plan still shows payment as outstanding, follow the payment troubleshooting guidance or contact flatfair before trying again.
