A flatfair membership will expire in line with the end date of the original tenancy or within 24 months from the original tenancy start date (whichever comes first). It is very important that you remember to extend the membership prior to its expiry date if your tenant(s) decide to extend the tenancy because otherwise it will be irrevocably closed.
Don't worry – we will make sure to send you reminders.
There may be other reasons for a membership to be extended such as a tenant remaining in possession past the tenancy termination date, being unable to evict a tenant, abandonment, or ongoing section 21 or section 8 proceedings. Letting us know about these circumstances by emailing us at support@flatfair.co.uk as soon as you are made aware of them will help us simplify your end of tenancy process.
Extending a membership is free for all parties and you may extend each time for up to a maximum period of 24 months for a fixed term and 6 months for a periodic term. To do so, follow these steps:
- Log into your flatfair dashboard
- Search for and open up the relevant property
- Click “Extend”
- Follow the steps that follow
