We know contracts make for dry reading material, so here are the most frequently asked questions about your Introducer Agreement.
How quickly do I need to start selling flatfair products?
You need to be in a position to offer our products to all landlords and tenants across all your lettings branches within three months of signing your Agreement.
Before this, within the first month after signing your Agreement, you need to have arranged an initial training session with your flatfair account manager so that you understand how our simple-to-use platform works.
What are my obligations when selling No Deposit to tenants?
The main obligation is that you must make clear to tenants that No Deposit is a choice and is not a pre-condition to being accepted into any particular property.
What are my obligations when offering No Deposit to landlords?
The main obligation is to ensure that your own Terms of Business with the landlord incorporates our ‘Terms of Business Addendum’ at the end. By signing this Addendum, landlords agree to their properties automatically being offered with our No Deposit product (unless they opt out).
You also need to make sure that you are properly authorised by the landlord to take out our products on their behalf and that you understand our Landlord Terms and Conditions.
Can I sell another company's rental solution at the same time?
Yes! We believe our partners should be free to sell the products they believe in and are happy using. Once you get going with flatfair we’re sure you won't find a better product on the market.
How much commission does flatfair offer?
With flatfair, you get two chances to earn commission. We offer a referral fee for any sales you make on No Deposit and a further referral fee when you refer new agent partners to us (once they start selling our products).
How am I paid my commission?
Most of our partners are set up using our self-billing arrangement, which means that we calculate the commission payments you are due each month (based on the sales you have made) and raise the invoice for payment on your behalf. Simple!
What is the notice period for termination of the agreement?
Partners need to give us 90 days’ notice if they want to stop selling flatfair.
