When it comes to the end of the tenancy, your landlord or letting agent will go through the process of negotiating the deposit charges outside of our online platform as normal, until you have reached a final resolution via an adjudicator or both parties have agreed to the proposed charges.
If the value of the charges exceeds the deposit amount and the landlord has an active Boost subscription, the landlord will be able to submit those additional charges onto the flatfair platform in order to benefit from our additional protection.
The total amount will then be communicated to you and you’ll have an opportunity to login to the platform and negotiate the charges for 10 days. A link to make payment will also be available so that you can settle any charges that are agreed in full.
If you don’t settle the charges in full, you can agree to have them adjudicated via our independent third party adjudication service by signing a short agreement on the platform. If you don’t then settle any adjudicated charges in full, this might have an adverse effect on your credit score. flatfair may offer to purchase the debt from the landlord for a value of up to six weeks additional rent and pursue repayment with you directly or through our debt collection partners.
