For agents and landlords, No Deposit is free!
For tenants, we charge a one-off check-in fee costing one week’s rent per household or £120 (+VAT), whichever is greater.
Landlords can increase their protection by up to an additional six weeks to cover any unanticipated damage charges by adding Boost to their plan. Click here to learn more about Boost.
Here’s an example of how it works:
if there are four tenants renting a property at £400 p/w, the check-in fee would be £400 (+VAT), which is split evenly between everyone moving in.
OR
If there are four tenants renting property at £100 p/w, the check-in fee will be £120 + VAT split evenly between the tenants.
Just like a deposit scheme, tenants are responsible for any lawful end of tenancy charges.
Example 1:
If Paul, the tenant, would like to rent a property costing £200/week (£867/month) with flatfair, the check-in fee will be £200 (+VAT) which is the equivalent of one week's rent +(VAT):
Weekly rent: £200.00
Monthly rent: £867.00
Check-in fee (without VAT): £200.00
Check-in fee (including VAT): £240.00
Example 2:
If Sam, the tenant, would like to rent a property costing £90/week (£390/month) with flatfair, the check-in fee will be £120 (+VAT) rather than the equivalent of one week's rent (+VAT):
Weekly rent: £90.00
Monthly rent: £390.00
Check-in fee (without VAT): £120.00
Check-in fee (including VAT): £144.00
